Jan Ekedahl is one of the pioneers of folk guitar in Sweden. He´s a prolific composer in various fields, not only for guitar but also for choir and string ensemble. As one of the founders of the Swedish folk group Gunnfjauns Kapell in 1982 he began composing folk tunes. On this album he plays his own tunes solo. or in duets with Mats Bergström.
Six of the tunes are from the out-of-print album Gitarrfamiljen, the rest are new tunes.
