Orm is the fifth recording by this group from Värend, in Småland, Sweden. From this ancient microcosm Sågskära makes occasional excursions to completely different musical worlds. Fiddles, voices, drums, harp, hurdy-gurdy and guitar are among the instruments that contribute to Sågskära’s special sound. The music spans the field between medieval drones and modern folk music and balances innovation with the preservation of older musical stylistic features.
