New compositions performed and composed by Johan Hedin, one of the foremost Swedish nyckelharpa players. Unlike many of his more famous recordings, this is a streamlined and beautiful solo effort, sparsely and only occasionally accompanied by percussionist Fredrik Gille.

Johan Hedin är en av våra mest respekterade nyckelharpspelare och har utmärkt sig som en stor innovatör, både när det gäller nykompositioner för nyckerlharpa och utvecklingen av musikinstrumentet. "Innersta Polskan" är ett album med egna kompositioner där polskan, en danstyp som varit mycket populär i Sverige under flera hundra år,står i centrum. Johan har fogat samman polskeslingorna i långa sviter och på några spår medverkar Fredrik Gille på slagverk.
