A Bunch of Keys

Please note!
Most of our CDs have been imported from Europe or Asia. They are not all shrink-wrapped, and I am not going to con you by wrapping them here just to make you think they have been sterilized in America. I guarantee that the CDs and the contents are all brand new and in perfect condition. Whenever I can, I use recycled shipping materials. They may not look as pretty on the outside, but they save money and keep the trash dumps a little bit emptier.
Thanks- Cliff, cdRoots

A Bunch Of Keys / Mad River Records
Sister labels dedicated to good music. Period. Their first two releases are recordings by David Munnelly (2005) and Liam Bailey (2006).
 Loinneog Cheoil - Aoife ni Fhearraigh $14.99 (cdRoots# mr-aoife)
Loinneog Cheoil was Aoife ní Fhearraigh's debut recording with the Irish group Dervish, released in 1991 on cassette only and unavailable for many years. Aoife decided to re-record this classic album, and asked Manus Lunny of Capercaillie to produce it. Manus also plays guitar, bouzouki, and keyboards on this new recording, which features two new songs, as well.
 Temas Profanos - La Musgana $14.99 (cdRoots# mr-musgana)
Spain's La Musgaña plays traditional music of Central Spain, where Moroccans and Celts, Europeans and Africans have all left their mark, on traditional instruments including gaita (bagpipes), wooden flutes and hurdy-gurdy, and more contemporary instruments like fiddle, guitar, accordion. Dance tunes and love songs, ritual music and village celebrations, lullabies all find their way into the repetoire of this important ensemble. Based in Madrid and together for twenty years, La Musgaña ("the water rat") still features original members Jaime Muñoz and Carlos Beceiro, with newer members Jorge Arribas on accordion and Diego Galáz on violin.
 Flesh and Armor - Liam Bailey $15.99 (cdRoots# bok-mr01)
Pure pop with American roots - not my usual catalog addition, but I make exceptions for musicians with a wry outlook, an unusual voice and a certain sense of production restraint. Liam and his team of musicians have all of this working for them, so if you have the occasional, selective soft spot for intelligent pop music like I do, you might want to give this one a listen.
 By Heck - David Munnelly $16.99 (cdRoots# bok-heck)
From Belmullet, Mayo, the 28 year old musician is a stunning accordion player, and he is well-supported by a band of Andrew Murray, Kieran Munnelly on bodhran and flute, Daire Bracken on fiddle, Gavin Ralston on guitar and Bryan Molloy on keyboards.
