On their 7th disc Na lúa delves into the world of máxico in Galica. Their contemporary mix of Celtic, Galician and other European folk music influences is really at its height on this 1999 recording, in a subdued, elegant mixture of acoustic textures and some of the strongest vocals the band has exhibited yet. This band (playing gaita (bagpipe), reeds, flute, accordion, guitar, bass and percussion) has been working together since 1980, and the intuitive elegance of their performance shows how those years have merged them into a marvelous, tight ensemble. This recording also features some lovely vocals by guest singer Aloia Martinez, harp by Irene Varela as well as a number of other excellent contributions.

Please note!
Most CDs have been
imported from Europe or Asia.
They are not all
shrink-wrapped, and I am not
going to con you by wrapping them
here just to make you think they
have been sterilized in America.
We guarantee that the CDs and the
contents are all brand new and in
perfect condition. Whenever I
can, I use recycled shipping
materials. They may not look as
pretty on the outside, but they save
money and keep the trash dumps a
little bit emptier.
