This Galician singer has produced an interesting album of songs, (accompanied only by pianist Manuel Gutiérrez) that skirts the edges of Kate Bush, Tori Amos and other female singer-songwriters. She is a published poet of some renown in Spain, and also involved in the theater, which is evident in her dramatic delivery of her songs. Nothing earthshaking in the presentation here, just an unadorned, emotional performance by a great singer.
