She is heading to that strange little place called "folk music stardom," with work in some of Sweden's best ensembles (not the least of them Groupa). She is a emotional and warm singer, a skilled player of many traditional Nordic flutes, and on this, her first 'solo' recording, she has gathered together a phenomenally talented ensemble to bring the songs to life: Danish violinist and violist Harald Haugaard, Esbjörn Hazelius on cittern, vocals and violin, Johan Hedin on nyckleharpa and and Leo Svensson on cello. This is a subtle, precise and moving set of songs, one of those recordings that occasionally comes along and demands attention, quietly but insistently.
