The premier recording by this Swedish quintet is really quite stunning: a moody, sophisticated sound on the one had, a raw energy on the other, all mixed together with an adventurous atmosphere not unlike that created in the last days of Filarfolket. They mix traditional tunes and modern compositions together in complete abandon.
The ensemble is Anna Elwing (voice and violin), Jonas Göransson (guitars), Karin Ohlsson (violin and viola), Tina Quartey (percussion) Torbjörn Richard (saxophones and flutes).
