Top Quality Bones And A Little Terrorist (Amigo)

A curious Swedish pop recording (sung in English) by a unique voice with a unusual song writing style. She accompanied by a mostly acoustic ensemble that is equally comfortable with rock, pop and jazz, on piano, percussion, guitars, bass, accordion, cello and other assorted touches. She says (below), it's all very lo-fi, and quite wonderful, and compares herself to madonna and Fleetwood mac. I think it's more like Timbuk 3 or Cowboy Junkies, but ultimately, as with most good music, you're on your own, and she manages to stand on her own.

Britta says:
The title of my first album is TOP QUALITY BONES AND A LITTLE TERRORIST. Last year was a bit chaotic and I often found myself wishing I was older, but I wasn't. I wrote some songs. When I was done, I took the train to Kristofer Åström’s place and we recorded for a week. We used the instruments we found and then rested for two months before placing Per Nordmark (percussion), Joanna Eriksson (violin) and a microphone in Peter Hermansson’s (piano, accordion) in the living room. I sat in the sofa while they made the record one of the best. Back in Stockholm we got help from Linus Larsson making the sound worth raising your eyebrows over, and when Mattias Friberg showed up at the studio we got some bass on the record. I think it sounds old fashioned and Nordic and also Madonna, Fleetwood Mac, Low, Natasha Bedingfield, but lo fi.

Please note!
Most CDs have been imported from Europe or Asia. They are not all shrink-wrapped, and I am not going to con you by wrapping them here just to make you think they have been sterilized in America. We guarantee that the CDs and the contents are all brand new and in perfect condition. Whenever I can, I use recycled shipping materials. They may not look as pretty on the outside, but they save money and keep the trash dumps a little bit emptier.
