Ale Möller

Please note!
Most of our CDs have been imported from Europe or Asia. They are not all shrink-wrapped, and I am not going to con you by wrapping them here just to make you think they have been sterilized in America. I guarantee that the CDs and the contents are all brand new and in perfect condition. Whenever I can, I use recycled shipping materials. They may not look as pretty on the outside, but they save money and keep the trash dumps a little bit emptier.
Thanks- Cliff, cdRoots

Ale Möller, bouzoukispelman from Malmo, Sweden
"I am always looking for a sound where one note tells a story. One must find the right note, and play it."
Ale Möller, 1997
Beyond the Stacks - Aly Bain and Ale Moller $12.99 (cdRoots# ns-6094)
Scottish fiddle master Bain and Swedish multi-instrumentalist Möller have been exploring the Nordic roots of Scottish music together for over ten years, and this is the second CD to come from this collaboration. Mostly fiddle/mandola duets are a culmination of Bain's extensive research into the Scandinavian history behind so much of the traditional music of his native Shetland Islands, and Möller's creative arrangements. It is a masterpiece of understatement, a relaxed session between friends who anticipate oneanother's every phrase and respond with passion. Highly recommended.
Fully Rigged - Aly Bain and Ale Moller $11.99 (cdRoots# ns-6064)
Shetland Islands meet Malmo, Sweden in a fully satisfying merger of genius.
 Bodjal - Ale Moller Band $18.99 (cdRoots# amigo-bodjal)
Ale Möller comes full circle. From the bouzoukispellman who learned Swedish folk music on a Greek instrument so many years ago comes a stunning new album of music that leans heavily on those Greek roots, and then explodes across the continents. With Maria Stellas and Mamadou Sene on vocals, a core band of Moller's strings, accordion, flutes and voice, Magnus Stinnerbom (fiddles, mandolin), Sebatian Dube (bass) and Rafael Sida Hulzar (percussion). My 'Record of the Year' for 2004. Highly recommended
 Djef Djel - Ale Moller Band $temp out of stock-17.99 (cdRoots# amigo-djef)
Nothing that has ever come from the hands of Ale Möller has been anything less than brilliant, in my opinion, and this one continues his exploration of the Swedish ethos in the global continuum. This time around, it is just the band, a now well-seasoned sextet of musicians from all over the planet, in sync with each other's ideas and exploring new applications of their roots in Sweden, Greece,Mexico, Canada and Senegal.
Reisaren - Gunnar Stubseid and Ale Moller $temp out of stock-17.99 (cdRoots# grcd-reisaren)
Hardangar fiddle and mandola tunes from two fine musicians from Norway and Sweden
 Frifot - Moller, Willemark and Gudmundson $temp out of stock-18.99 (cdRoots# cda-frifot1)
The first recording by this trio, from 1990, is still considered one fo the classic of the new-folk movement.
