I have a soft spot for well-executed schmaltz and the Finnish ensemble Vihreä Palma stroke it nicely! Kirsi Poutanen's wonderfully warm voice fronts a strong ensemble of accordion, piano bass and guitar. It's a mix of jazz-cool and Latin jazz, a touch of theater, and a Finnish attitude that makes it unique. Add to it that the ensemble is top-notch and you really can't go wrong.
