The Finnish accordion trio of Raimo Vertainen, Heikki Jokiaho and Toni Hämäläinen tackles the classic Mussorgsky work, plus some pieces by Tchaikovsky and Jokiaho. It's played pretty straight, adapting the score for the accordions (no other accompaniment) including the percussion parts. It captures the power and beauty of the original, but there's always that slight question of "why?"
A must have for anyone interested in the extremes of the accordion!
